Golden Village Movie Club Presents: Ugly Dolls Kids’ Party
The ugly but adorable stuffed toys you may have seen retailing at various shops have apparently become so popular, they’re getting their very own feature film. Releasing in cinemas islandwide on 6th June, Golden Village Movie Club members get a special preview this Saturday with a special Ugly Dolls Kids’ Party, where not only will you be able to catch the movie in full, you’ll also stand to win exciting prizes!
Ugly Dolls presents a land of unconventionality, as we’re introduced to the world of Uglyville, where weird is celebrated, strange is special and beauty is embraced as more than simply meets the eye. Here, Moxy and her friends live every day in a whirlwind of bliss, letting their freak flags fly. Moxy’s curiosity leads her to wonder if there’s something on the other side of the mountain which nestles Uglyville. She gathers her closest friends and sets off to find another world – Perfection – a town where conventional dolls are trained in protocols before they are sent to the “real” world to find the love of a child. The Ugly Dolls will confront what it means to be different, and ultimately discover that you don’t have to be perfect to be amazing.
Featuring the acting and singing voices of Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Janelle Monáe, Blake Shelton and Pitbull, Ugly Dolls is set to be a heartwarming, animated musical adventure on what it means to be normal and embracing differences. At the Ugly Dolls Kids’ Party, taking place at 9.30am on 1st June at Golden Village Tiong Bahru, families can take part in fun activities such as an Ugly Dolls Themed Craft Modelling Workshop and Ugly Dolls Themed Glitter & Airbrush Tattoo.
