Step into a captivating world where romance, history, and local spirits take centre stage. Exit Stage Left is a new immersive bar concept by OH! Stories, an experiential arts group that tells alternative stories of Singapore. Designed as the final stop in its audio-based performance tour, New World’s End, the bar will serve hyper-local tipples inspired by the grit and glamour of the 1960s.

Exit Stage Left will run from 1 November 2023 to 31 January 2024, and it will be the first bar to only use locally distilled spirits from Tanglin Gin, Brass Lion, Compendium Spirits, and Singapore Distillery. These liquors are then artfully blended with natively grown or found ingredients to express the true flavours of Singapore.

The menu comprises a selection of cocktails and mocktails, with prices starting from $14 nett. Highlights include Haw House Sour ($22 nett), a gimlet infused with the familiar flavours of hawthorn berries and nutmeg; and The Songbird ($24 nett), a twist on the classic Jungle Bird with pineapple and mango wine as well as a medley of spices. Fong Fong’s Revue’s ($22 nett) comprises a base of Brass Lion Pearl Jasmine Gin, flavoured with nectarine saccharum, Oolong tea, Jasmine flowers, and lime, while The Oriental ($24 nett) comprises the Singapore Distillery Hornbill Vodka, along with tamarind jam, Bunga Kantan, pineapple and lime. A tasting flight featuring all four locally distilled gins is also exclusively available at $48 nett.

“For the past two years, New World’s End has offered audiences a new way to see, hear, and smell Singapore through a walking tour in Jalan Besar as they listen to a love story through their headphones. With Exit Stage Left, we’re now adding taste into the mix. We’re especially proud to showcase spirits and ingredients produced by local distilleries and growers through the new bar,” says Gwen Pew, Business Development Director, OH! Stories.
Exit Stage Left is located at 85 Desker Road. Exit Stage Left is open to attendees of New World’s End from Wednesdays to Saturdays, and to the general public every Sunday. Bookings can be made here
