After first presenting it as a work-in-progress in April, TheatreWorks will be officially premiering conceptual dance performance The Roundest Circle at the end of July!
Partly conceptualized by TheatreWorks Associate Artist Eng Kai Er, The Roundest Circle originally saw Kai collaborate with fellow dance artists Faye Lim and Felicia Lim to throw convention out the window. In their decision making process, they’ve removed the leader, and The Roundest Circle ends up an experiment in decision-making, where all three performers will be navigating and rediscovering their physical and creative space as complete individuals, leading at times and following at others.

Now, watch as their rehearsal process comes to an end, and the three women present their finished work as they translate it into a unified whole. Part improv, part curious collaboration and contestation of ideas, leave all your expectations at the door and come in with a fresh mind as you witness The Roundest Circle, continuing with TheatreWorks’ missions to present alternative contemporary experiences and artistic expressions for Singaporean audiences.
The Roundest Circle plays from 27th-28th July at 72-13.To book your tickets, email theroundestcircle@theatreworks.org.sg or call 6737-7213.
