Preview: Despicable Me Breakout Party at Universal Studios Singapore

Can’t get enough of the Minions? You’re in luck, to celebrate the release of the THIRD film in the hit Despicable Me franchise (not including Minions), Universal Studios Singapore will be letting ALL of your favourite characters loose on the theme park this summer in a Minions Breakout Party!

Expect only the craziest of parties as the Minions and friends take over Universal Studios Singapore with high energy performances, exciting games and of course, Minion-themed treats. It’s a whole carnival’s worth of despicable delights as guests take part in fun games that put their skills to the test at booths including Minion Toss, Super Silly Space Killer and Minion Mishap. The prize? Exclusive Despicable Me merchandise of course!

One of the biggest highlights of the party would be the surprise Minion Mob as the more than 20 performers parade through the Hollywood zone, finally culminating in an epic celebration as performers and guests let loose their inner Minions at the Hollywood Lagoon Stage, which will feature a giant inflatable Minion, and plenty of catchy, infectious tunes to dance to.

At the Hollywood Lagoon Stage itself, prepare yourselves for Rodney’s Rotten Game Show, hosted by Rodney Rotten himself as he gets audiences to dance, quizzes them on their Minion trivia and even host a banana-eating competition, with fantastic prizes to be won. Fans can even meet Gru and the Minions and take photos with them after the show!

The fun never stops, and to enhance your experience further, fans can continue the celebration by getting some ‘prison tattos’ at a Despicable Me 3 tattoo parlour, putting on temporary tattoos of the Despicable Me characters, or fill their tummies with delicious yellow and blue Minion-themed treats such as cupcakes and soft-serve ice cream. Entry to the party comes included with a regular ticket to Universal Studios Singapore, so even after the party, guests can continue to enjoy the adrenaline-filled rides, world-class attractions and exciting entertainment at the theme park.
