Just in time for Christmas, Plaza Singapura launches the all new NomadX for all your holiday gift shopping needs. The brand new retail experience occupies 11,000 square feet across two levels, and opened this  week with a line-up of 17 brands offering new-to-market merchandise and unique experiences across beauty, fashion, technology and F&B.

Calling themselves Singapore’s first “phygital” multi-label concept store, NomadX enriches the physical space with a digital layer of tech-enabled customer experience, and an ever-changing retail experience. Shoppers can enjoy a gamified onboarding process, automated store assistance such as smart mirrors and interactive product walls, as well as fully cashless payment experience to suit our smart nation.

A project of firsts, NomadX will house the first physical outlets in Singapore for notable online retailers such as ecommerce giant Taobao; clothing rental service provider Style Theory; fragrance design and mixology label Oo La Lab; and F&B brands teapasar and By Peapods. Visitors can also look forward to huge array of all new NomadX exclusives, such as Karl Lagerfeld in partnership with Robinsons, and homegrown label evenodd. Renowned beauty brands L’oreal and Amorepacific, as well as F&B brands BIZEN Wagyu Steakhouse by Aston Soon, Coco & Frank and Waa Cow! Express have also set up shop at NomadX, ensuring you won’t go hungry while you shop.

To make full use of one’s NomadX experience, shoppers are encouraged to take part in a gamification process to identify the NomadX tribe profile that they relate to the most. Based on one’s preferences, you will receive product and deal recommendations and shop discovery routes customised to your ‘tribe’ characteristics. The four tribes are Sea, Mountain, Forest and Wind, which correspond to shopper profiles The Enigmatic Shopper, The Conquer-It-All Shopper, the Love-the-Earth Shopper and the Live-It-Up Shopper respectively.

NomadX will also offer the shopping experience of the future, with multi-touch “techtile” product visual merchandising showcases with projections displaying digital product and brand content, equipped with QR code features that shoppers can scan to help make shopping decisions and complete purchases. No need for bulky wallets anymore – stick with your credit cards or go completely card free with e-payment systems such as the CapitaStar app with American Express Cards and NetsPay, seamlessly connecting online and offline shopping experiences from product education, recommendations, payment and loyalty rewards.

To celebrate NomadX’s opening, the venture was awash in a splash of colour, with media personalities and VIPs in attendance to catch a special fashion show, hosted by 987 DJ Sonia Chew. In addition, the first 300 American Express card members who charge $150 to their American Express Cards via StarPay will be rewarded with 20,000 STAR$.  Also, the first 400 non-cardmembers who spend a minimum of $150 at NomadX will receive 10,000 STAR$.  These promotions run from 9th November to 30th November 2018.
