There’s no Christmas quite like one spent in Europe, and with their 2018 Christmas menu, homegrown German restaurant Brotzeit is determined to bring a taste of that to sunny Singapore across all their outlets!
With multiple outlets across the entire island, one of Singapore’s most authentic German restaurants around is set to have you going “Geil!” (cool) as you sip on great beers and dine on hearty foods throughout this festive season. Get a chance to feel Gemütlich, the warm, friendly spirit of Germany, with Brotzeit’s Christmas Platter, suitable for 5-6 diners. The massive and frankly, delectable platter comprises a honey-baked Christmas ham, venison and veal sausages, oven-roasted pork roulade, and Brotzeit’s signature oven-roasted crispy pork knuckle, served with a side of truffle mash and winter
If your Christmas party is a little smaller, Brotzeit also offers up the Christmas Duo, ieal for an intimate couple’s meal out. The Duo features a combination of Turkey Schnitzel with ham and raclette cheese stuffing, along with a honey-baked Christmas ham, served with a festive salad and potato gratin on the side.
Of course, besides their usual selection of German beers, Brotzeit will also be offering up traditional Christmas tipples, that is, the seasonal Glühwein (Mulled Wine), specially brewed by Brotzeit’s Group Executive Chef Wolfgang Ranner. This of course, pairs perfectly with Brotzeit’s festive dishes, giving off lovely aromas of cinnamon and
orange. Ever conscious of the diverse profile of their diners, the Glühwein is available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions, so even kids can join in the celebrations over a glass! Yell “Prost!”, because Brotzeit will also offer sampling portions of non-alcoholic Glühwein to shoppers across all outlets to celebrate the season of giving and dine-in guests will receive complimentary Glühwein shooters during this Christmas period.
Brotzeit will also be offering single-serving Christmas mains, where diners can order these favourite dishes a la carte so a group can mix and match…or a solo diner can have it all to himself. Be sure to try the Duck Confit with Cranberry Apricot Sauce, for a berry merry Christmas with its two pieces of crispy duck leg confit accompanied by Brotzeit’s own cranberry apricot sauce, served with a side of crunchy handmade almond dumplings.
Another must try would be the tender, slow-braised Beef Cheek with Truffle Sauce, served with winter vegetables and fluffy mash. The meat doesn’t end there though as Brotzeit returns with their signature Pork Belly Roulade, oven-roasted to a crisp and
served with tasty winter vegetables and savoury potato gratin. Feel free to also order up even more if you’ve still got room, from the refreshing Festive Salad to the hearty Venison Sausages.
Of course, no Christmas is complete without dessert, and over at Brotzeit, there’s a great selection of traditional foods to choose from Brotzeit’s Christmas Dessert Medley, where you’ll be offered up a combination of six treats. These are: Apple and berry mulled wine poached pears, raisin-stuffed baked apple, traditional German Bee Sting cake, decadent chocolate cake, velvety orange-cranberry yoghurt cream, and candied nuts.
Brotzeit will also be celebrating Christmas by welcoming a very special guest to their VivoCity outlet come 1st December – Santa Claus himself will be coming to town, and bringing some ho-ho-holly jolly joy to the entire restaurant, with the staff organising a face-painting session and Christmas sock decoration for the kids. Kids can bring their sock to Santa, take a photo with him and even get rewarded with a mystery prize, if you’ve been nice of course.
