Having moved to their new home at the Stamford Arts Centre, Ding Yi Music Company launches into their 2019 season with gusto, releasing an all new season pass for fans to enjoy up to 30% off regular pricing for three Ding Yi ticketed performances.
Highlights of this year’s season include new concert series, DY-Logue 《鼎有艺思》featuring the “conversation” between two similar yet distinct ethnic instruments – gambus and pipa, in an intimate musical salon. Music beyond borders, Chinese instrumental music and Vietnamese bamboo instrumentation – Musical Frontiers 《乐无垠》. Revisit the glory and masterworks of one of Chinese music pioneer in Masterpieces by Peng Xiuwen 《乐坛巨人》 彭修文作品音乐会.
In addition, Ding Yi will be organising the fourth installation of the signature Ding Yi Chinese Chamber Music Festival 鼎艺华乐室内乐节, as they invite renowned Chinese chamber music groups from Beijing (Tang Family Music Ensemble), Taiwan (3peoplemusic) as well as Canada (Sound of Dragon Ensemble) for the first time to pamper music lovers to spectrum of Chinese chamber music around the world. Ding Yi will also be presenting their signature multidisciplinary showcase, this time inspired by literature written by renowned historian Han Shan Yuan in Of Music and Story: River of Life 《乐。叙：生命之河》.
