The Face Shop Launches #EcoBeautySquad Campaign In Search of New Talent


Leading Korean beauty brand The Face Shop has launched the #EcoBeautySquad Campaign, a nationwide search for a new local star in Singapore. Starting on 6th July, the competition aims to find a young personality who embodies the brand’s ethos of real and natural beauty.

Calling for applicants to express about what it means to be beautiful, inside and out, the campaign encourages everyone to “Dare to Be”, whether this means feeling free in one’s own skin or being confident about one’s best features. With no prior experience required, it’s an amazing opportunity for aspiring talents to vie for an exciting experience.

“We are advocates for inner and outer beauty that comes from treating our skin and our planet with respect. At The Face Shop, our products are designed to care for various skin types and needs using natural, plant-based ingredients that are proven to be both gentle and effective,” said Mr Steven Jeong, Business Director. “With this nationwide search in both Singapore and Malaysia, we seek up-and-coming talents who share our philosophy and relate to the clean, simple and natural approach espoused by The Face Shop and we hope to build them up to become the next big social media star.”

Applicants are called upon to let their natural beauty shine forth, demonstrating their inner strength and desire to be bold trendsetters. The #EcoBeautySquad Singaporean winner stands to receive a comprehensive Grand Prize package worth up to SGD15,000 which includes a 12-month contract with The Face Shop, a 12-month supply of The Face Shop products, a brand-new DSLR camera, and a full-day pampering session sponsored by The Face Shop.

Applicants will go through several rounds of elimination, beginning with shortlisting of 100 participants who will attend an online introductory session, followed by three thematic workshops led by local beauty influencer Mongchin Yeoh (@mongabong), with the first of such workshops to be held virtually in Singapore. Each workshop will focus on a specific topic, with elimination challenges to identify those who will proceed to the next level. In addition, the top three challenge winners from each workshop will receive exciting prizes. At the end of the workshops, ten finalists will be selected to participate in a full-day finale event that will end with the announcement of the Grand Prize winner.

To take part in the #EcoBeautySquad Campaign, users have to:
1. Upload a photo or video of themselves on Instagram
2. In the post caption or video, share with THEFACESHOP their name, age, and one interesting thing about themselves
3. Follow THEFACESHOP page @thefaceshop_sg
4. Tag @thefaceshop_sg and hashtag #EcoBeautySquadSG
5. Fill up THEFACESHOP Google form here

*The competition is open to all Singapore citizens and residents aged 18 years and above. All entries will be judged on creativity and originality, engagement level and how well it complements the brand values and image of THEFACESHOP. Successful applicants will be sent a direct message on Instagram.
