Open Call: Toy Factory’s The Wright Stuff Festival 2021 needs your scripts!
If you ever thought you were a good writer, now’s the time to show it.
Following their second edition of The Wright Stuff in 2019, Toy Factory is ready to return for a third round of showcasing brand new Singaporean scripts come 2021. Budding playwrights are welcome to submit new plays between 24th July to 24th September 2020 to Toy Factory, in the hopes of having their plays staged next year.
This time around, The Wright Stuff will be examining the theme of “Inwards”, encouraging playwrights to look closer at our world of uncertainties and to think about a future that heavily depends on collective actions we make as a society. Scripts ideally should drive us to look inwards and reflect as people within our community, with stories about self-reflection, community and/or humanity.
If shortlisted, the chosen three playwrights will receive mentorship from Toy Factory
Chief Artistic Director, Goh Boon Teck, edit their scripts, and watch as Toy Factory brings them to life at Now Playing@17A.
