Television Time: What’s On BBC (November 2022)

November sees BBC Earth bring back Dynasties II for more twists and turns in our animal character’s life, yet again showing that truth is stranger and more dramatic than any work of fiction. Following the lives of iconic favourites for as much as two years, this series features surprising, dramatic, and heart-warming stories with iconic favourites, elephant and cheetah, as well as unearthing the stories of some unsung heroes of the animal kingdom, puma and hyena. Catch never-before seen moments like new-born elephant twins – something only recorded a handful of times – witness the surprise of  a young cheetah when a tiny mole rat fights back, and see the fearsome spectacle of two puma mothers fighting over vital  territory in which to raise their precious cubs.

And while some animal dynasties are a tale as old as time, others are on the brink of extinction. In the Search for The Last Unicorn, reports of Northern White Rhinoceros in South Sudan brings renewed hope to this charismatic animal declared extinct in 2018. With exclusive access, the BBC follows an international team of experts on an expedition to a war zone to search for the last “unicorn.”

In a game show where four people all claim to own the same house and be the same person, can a celebrity panel figure out who is telling the truth? If they get it right, the homeowner wins a cash prize. If they get it wrong, the homeowner wins nothing. BBC Lifestyle’s new reality series This Is My House is a guessing game that will keep everyone playing along from their own homes, challenges our prejudices and asks a simple question: can the truth win?

BBC First’s Sherwood is a shockingly relevant thriller about a burgeoning lack of trust in police and government – and the way long-buried political tensions can resurface to devastating effect. Inspired by real-life events that took place in the Nottinghamshire mining village where the creator and executive producer, James Graham, grew up, Sherwood is a political thriller about a community torn apart by two shocking killings. Wild wounds are reopened and the town is engulfed in tension and fear. It’s down to police chief Ian and London met police officer Kevin to solve the case. Can they help this fractured community heal?

Reports of Northern White Rhinoceros alive in Southern Sudan has given conservationists renewed hope. Declared extinct in 2018, could this charismatic animal get a miraculous second chance?

With exclusive access, the BBC follows an international team of experts, on an expedition to a war zone to go in search of the Northern White Rhinoceros. An animal that little is really known about, inhabiting some of the most remote and dangerous countries in Africa – could a lost population of these incredible beasts still exist?
