To celebrate the annual Art March Hong Kong, M+, Asia’s global museum of contemporary visual culture in the West Kowloon Cultural District (WestK) in Hong Kong, will offer free admission to its General Admission exhibitions on Sunday, 9 March 2025, inviting the community to engage with the captivating charm of this cultural landmark and fostering a deeper appreciation for contemporary visual culture.
On Sunday, 9 March 2025, M+ will open from 10:00 to 18:00. Visitors can enjoy free access to all General Admission exhibitions without pre-registration. General Admission exhibitions include M+ Sigg Collection: Another Story; Things, Spaces, Interactions; Making It Matters; Shanshui: Echoes and Signals; Yasumasa Morimura and Cindy Sherman: Masquerades and Yang Jiechang: Hundred Layers of Ink. Lee Mingwei: Guernica in Sand on B2, The Studio; Danh Vo In Situ: Akari by Noguchi on B2, Found Space; and the Mediatheque located at LG will open for free entry as usual. Visitors can also enjoy free screening programmes at the Mediatheque and Grand Stair on that day.
On 9 March, visitors who wish to enjoy free exhibitions should enter M+ through the Artist Square Entrance while some of the entrances and exits of the museum will be closed. To elevate the visitor experience, the museum will limit the number of visitors entering the museum based on the onsite situation. Visitors may be required to queue outside the entrance and follow museum staff’s instructions. The museum will stop newcomers from joining the queue outside the museum at 16:00 to ensure that visitors will have sufficient time to explore the museum.
M+ Members, Patrons & Up and their accompanying guests, ticketholders or ticket buyers of Special Exhibition Guo Pei: Fashioning Imagination can enter the museum via Art Park Entrance of the museum. Special Exhibition ticketholders can enjoy free access to the M+ Lounge^ on L11 of the museum, which is normally exclusive for M+ Members and Patrons.
M+’s annual membership and patron membership offer an exclusive experience of contemporary visual culture for people of all ages and backgrounds. M+ Members and Patrons can enjoy unlimited access to General Admission exhibitions year-round. Meanwhile, M+ Patrons can enjoy unlimited admission to all exhibitions with up to three guests per visit. Other membership benefits include three free admission vouchers to selected Special Exhibitions throughout the membership year, exclusive access to the M+ Lounge, M+ Private Viewing, priority ticket purchase, exclusive events, and more.
