For one weekend only, Base Entertainment Asia and Mastercard Theatres will play host to the most ancient opera house in the world, Naples’ Teatro Di San Carlo, as they present the classic beloved ballet piece Giselle.
Starring Giuseppe Picone, Anna Chiara Amirante, Claudia D’Antonio and Alessandro Staiano, Giselle is a tale of unrequited true love where the titular Giselle dances to her death following a broken heart, after being betrayed by the already betrothed nobelman Albrecht. But Giselle gets no rest as she rises from the grave, summoned by the vengeful Wilis, virgins who died of unrequited love as they vow to destroy Albrecht. Will Giselle be able to stop them and save her beloved?
Set to be one of the highlights of ballet in Singapore this year, Giselle is a show not to be missed.
