This August, get ready for the outdoor event of the year as the Civic District comes alive with art, light and sounds in the inaugural Civic District Outdoor Festival!
As night falls, watch as the civic district completely transforms into a sprawling wonderland of art and events, with multimedia, art installations, stage and music performances, art markets and food streets. Themed ‘When Time Stood Still’, at the heart of the festival is a multimedia projection trail titled Hemera’s Dream, where gorgeous projections will appear on the National Gallery facade and tell the epic story of two siblings on a cosmic adventure.
Over the weekend, look out for exciting live performances at the Padang Atrium, as local artists like Joie Tan, Nat Ho and Inch Chua take to the stage and perform songs to fill the night sky. The Padang itself will be transformed into a giant picnic area for friends and family to gather and enjoy the festivities together, while over at Empress Lawn, shop to your heart’s delight with Aether’s Art Market, featuring plenty of local entrepreneurs and designers.
This August, spend a night at the Civic District Outdoor Festival; you might just see the area in a whole new light.
