At 16 series strong, the latest series of Emmy and BAFTA award-winning entertainment show Strictly Come Dancing waltzes back onto BBC Lifestyle (StarHub ch 432) this coming Sunday. Armed with more sparkle, glitz and glamour than ever, the series will premiere exclusively on BBC Lifestyle (StarHub ch 432) with a red-carpet launch special on Sunday, 30 September 2018, 8.05pm, and will also be available on BBC Player (www.bbcplayer.com) as catch-up.
Affectionately known as Strictly, the dance show sees 15 celebrities pair up with professional dancers to compete in a sequin-studded competition for glory. Strictly has also won four-Emmys, alongside over 30 awards and nominations under its belt. Strictly has spawned an equally popular spinoff, Dancing with the Stars in the US, and also boasts over 50 local versions in countries across six continents.
Strictly is judged by four fabulous personalities – Italian dancer Bruno Tonioli, West End choreographer Craig Revel Horwood, retired English ballerina Dame Darcey Bussell and ‘The Queen of Latin’ Shirley Ballas return to the panel and will be casting their expert judgement every week. Each week, the two couples with the lowest combined scores, from the judges and public vote, will face each other in the dance off, and one couple will leave the competition for good. Hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, Strictly promises to dazzle with slick moves and amaze with its star power, with every episode a feast for the eyes and assured to put a spring in your step.
Strictly Come Dancing (series 16) premieres on 30th September with an almost 4 hour launch special starting from 8.05pm. Subsequent episodes air every Sunday at 8.05pm, exclusively on BBC Lifestyle (StarHub ch 432) and on the BBC Player.
