Carrie K. and Paige Parker Launch New Collection In Support of Singapore Committee for UN Women

Homegrown designer and Singapore Fashion Award winner Carrie K. is launching a brand new collection this November! In collaboration with philanthropist, gemmologist, and author Paige Parker, the label launches the Journey collection on 5^th November 2018.

Inspired by their shared philosophy of “Take the journey but don’t let it lead the way,” the Journey collection is an empowering one, drawing from the strength of Paige Parker’s Guinness World Record road trip across 116 countries over six continents in three years with husband Jim Rogers, during which she penned the travel memoir Don’t Call Me Mrs Rogers, detailing her voyage and decision to stop being a passenger and take control of life. Wanting to pass these values on to her daughters, it made perfect sense then for Carrie K. to come onboard to add another chapter to her ongoing Modern Heirloom series, where precious jewellery doesn’t have to stay in the vault, but crafted as timeless pieces wearable by daughters across the ages.

The Journey collection features Carrie K.’s signature cheeky motifs and symbols, taking the form of jewellery shaped like visual icons of navigational tools such as the compass, while incorporating gemstones that hold special meaning for both Paige and Carolyn. These gemstones are the Red Garnet, Blue Topaz, Moonstone and Green Onyx – symbols of passion, courage, strength and protection to remind the wearer to take charge of their lives.

Items in the series include the Compass Link Chain Bracelet and Compass Link Chain Necklace feature a compass motif that doubles up as both a clasp and the centerpiece. Designed to be the heart of the entire collection, the innovative design also allows for multiple bracelets to connect seamlessly into a choker or a long necklace. The Compass Links and Chains are sold separately to offer versatility. The Compass Link is available in 925 silver, 9k and 18k gold and retail at $268, $988 and $1888 respectively; all Compass Links are set with London Blue Topaz or Green Onyx, while the 9k and 18k gold Compass Links comes in additional options of White Topaz or White Moonstone.

Like her previous collections, Journey allows for plenty of versatility as various pieces within the collection can be paired to form completely new creations. The Compass Link Chain Bracelet for example, pairs nicely with a 9k gold Compass Link and a 925 silver Chain, or purchase the entire set in pure 9k or 18k gold. The compass motif repeats itself once again in the Compass Signet Ring, and the Compass Ear Studs, which can be worn individually or matched with either the Compass Ear Jacket or Compass Hoop Jacket to create a more prominent ear ensemble.

The second major motif seen in Journey would be the gyroscope and the angular coordinates of the globe, resulting in the Globe Ear Jacket, Globe Hoop Earrings and Globe Ring, big statement pieces and undoubted highlights from the Journey collection.
