MINDSET Challenge & Carnival: A Charity Fund Raiser

This Saturday, the annual MINDSET Challenge & Carnival returns to help raise funds for  the MINDSET Learning Hub – Singapore’s first Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) and non-WSQ job training and placement centre for mental health persons-in-recovery (PIRs).

The MINDSET Challenge & Carnival 2018 consists of a 33-floor vertical race up the Marina Bay Financial Centre Tower 1, and a retro-themed carnival across at The Lawn @ Marina Bay. The vertical race serves as a reminder of the uphill battle that mental health PIRs face in their journey towards recovery. This year, mental health PIRs will also be joining in the vertical race as a step towards inclusivity. One familiar face amongst the participants of the vertical race will be The Sam Willows frontman and local celebrity Benjamin Kheng, who will also be joined by fellow band member Jonathan Chua as they share their own anecdotes and thoughts about mental wellness and illness.

Through the MINDSET Challenge & Carnival 2018, Jardines hopes to promote inclusivity of PIRs in the community by creating interaction opportunities, as well as raises funds to support job training for PIRs. The event will be graced by Mr Amrin Amin, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs & Ministry of Health. Join Jardines in their continues journey towards battling social stigma associated with mental illness.

Jardines’ Mindset Challenge & Carnival 2018 takes place at The lawn @ Marina Bay on 28th October from 7.30am to 3pm. For more information, visit their event page here
