Prudential Marina Bay Carnival Returns December 2018 At Height Of Festive Season
After its inaugural edition last year, the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival has now returned for yet another 3 months of rides and games to bring light to the Marina Bay Area from December to March!
Situated at the Bayfront Event Space, the carnival spans four football fields (or 23,000 square metres) with 50 rides and games from countries all around the world. This time around, the carnival features 50 rides and games, many of which are returning from the previous edition. Over three million dollars’ worth of plushies from animated hit series, a Grand Lucky Draw cash prize of S$10,000 and more are set to be won.
New rides available at this edition include the Wave Swinger, newly flown in from Italy for its first time in Southeast Asia that also incorporates mural paintings of iconic landmarks such as Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands. The other two new rides are the Freak Out and Jumper Jumper.
Says Mr Barnabas Chia, Lead of the Organising Team behind the Carnival: “It is heartening to see a large group of Singaporeans and tourists bonding together and making special memories with us on the opening day of Singapore’s Largest Carnival. With the second edition, we want friends and families to carry on the time-held tradition and holiday spirit across the festive season and the coming months.”
He continues: “Across generations, carnivals have always held a special place in our hearts and we are excited to present the second edition of this large-scale event to all. The Carnival is much more than just a place for fun and games. We hope for the event to be a recurring iconic tradition for friends and families to build lifelong memories together.”
Kickstarting the festivities this Christmas season, the carnival will also feature an array of entertaining programmes and promotions such as food challenges, themed dress contests and more. Guests can also look out for local music acts such as Among Four, Daniel Sid and DJ Gainzter who will be taking to the stage. Visitors can keep their eyes peeled for a roving Chewbacca Santa, Festive Open Mic Nights, interactive workshops for all ages and more.
Guests can even stand to win Bonus Credits at the Carnival simply by dressing to the theme each month, with the first themed dress contest “Future-Forward” giving the first 150 visitors dressed most in line to the theme will 10 Bonus Credits on 29th December 2018.
