This weekend, the annual Armenian Street Party returns for another round of celebrating heritage along the entire street! Happening on 15th and 16th March from 6pm to 11pm at the Peranakan Museum, admission is completely free as you come down and celebrate the beginning of the Singapore Heritage Festival.
Being a Peranakan-themed event, be sure to come on down in your best kebayas and batik shirts with all your friends while feasting on delicious Peranakan cuisine on the street, before shopping for one-of-a-kind collectibles at the bazaar or getting artsy with nyonya-inspired craft workshops. Party all night long with nostalgic hits and jazzed-up joget, and even catch a traditional Peranakan wedding procession, including a fashion parade of beautiful kebayas by Rumah Bebe. There’ll be plenty of live performances too, from comedians Hossan Leong to Fakkah Fuzz, to musical performances from bands like The Pinholes or hip hop artist Akeem Jahat.
Plus, visit Peranakan Museum Singapore before it closes its doors for renovations, and celebrate this vibrant culture as the whole street comes alive for a farewell party under the stars! Mari buat lau jiat (Let’s make merry) this weekend at the Armenian Street Party.
