Great Eastern Launches Plan Like A Woman, Plan For The Long Run

Having championed the importance of women’s health since the launch of the very first Great Eastern Women’s Run in 2005, Great Eastern has now launched its brand new Plan Like A Woman, Plan For The Long Run campaign to bring into focus the various aspects of life and to encourage all women to plan and cater for their physical and fiscal health for the long run.

Over the course of her life, a woman has other considerations to contend with, from maintaining a healthy body to planning for her retirement. With this campaign, Great Eastern encourages females to take the lead in planning for the future they have in mind, by running a series of thought-provoking ads playing on society’s perceptions of women and using medical data and social statistics to highlight the need for women to plan differently so as to achieve optimal wellness in all areas of their lives.

Says Colin Chan, Managing Director, Group Marketing, Great Eastern: “We understand that everyone has different considerations and expectations on optimal wellness for both health and wealth. This campaign highlights the areas that are pertinent to women and offers options that can help a woman achieve her plans.”

This campaign will run in conjunction with the launch of the annual Great Eastern Women’s Run (GEWR), a staple in the sporting calendar for women’s sports and fitness in Singapore. Taking place on 3rd November this year, this 14th edition will see the introduction of the first nationwide all-women’s Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT), held on 24th August at the Singapore Sports Hub. Aimed at giving all women the opportunity to understand their current fitness levels, it also serves as a reminder to take proactive steps to build a strong and healthy body for the long run.

In the lead up to the IPPT and the Great Eastern Women’s Run, Great Eastern has also commissioned three of Singapore’s leading fitness trainers to curate a customised fitness programme aimed at strengthening the female body, namely, Rockstar Fit founder Natalie Dau, Nike Master Trainer Wany Misban and Shape Fit Girl Roxanne Gan. All  three trainers will be at Guoco Tower on 13th June when registration begins for GEWR 2019. They will be on hand to lead the customised fitness programme to the first 50 women who join them at the launch of GEWR, with these 50 who complete the workshop receiving a complimentary race slot of their choice for the GEWR and an exclusive yoga mat. Those who missed out can still catch other sessions by all three trainers in other locations in the lead up to the IPPT and GEWR.

The first 50 Princess Dash or Mummy + Me registrants on each day will also receive a My Little Pony plush toy (worth $29.90) while all at the launch will enjoy $10 off early bird rates. Other launch goodies such as New Balance gym sack bags (worth $25) and Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Milk 20ml (worth $13.90) are also available for registrants at the launch, while stocks last.
