Did you know that 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the first Moon landing? The Apollo 11 lunar landing on 20th July 1969 paved the way for future space exploration and opened doors to endless discoveries. In celebration of that very special date, BBC Studios has specially curated a number of spectacular space-themed programmes to celebrate the 50th anniversary since this historic mission!

BBC EARTH

BBC Earth will celebrate the moon landing with a mixture of new premieres and old favourites:

The 21st Century Race for Space follows popular scientist Brian Cox as he explores the past, present and future of space flight – and asks whether private space travel is crucial for the survival of mankind.

Astronauts: Toughest Job in the Universe where 12 ordinary people battle to prove they have what it takes to become an astronaut.
