Even when we’re under a circuit breaker, there’s always time to think about charity, and those less fortunate than us. For The Ascott Limited (Ascott), they’ve dedicated themselves to helping underprivileged children through a social media campaign.
Each time a user share photos or videos of themselves in their home kitchen on Instagram with the hashtag #StayHomeWithAscott, CapitaLand’s philanthropic arm CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF) will donate US$10, which goes towards providing food for a child over 20 days. With the support of CHF, Ascott has pledged a total of US$200,000 through the campaign. The donation will go towards Save the Children’s food security and assistance programmes, to support about 12,000 underprivileged children affected by COVID-19.
The first US$100,000 will be donated directly to Save the Children, while the second tranche of US$100,000 will be unlocked if users manage to garner over 10,000 posts on Instagram from now till 31st May 2020. During this circuit breaker, do a little bit of good while becoming a culinary masterchef in the comfort of your own home, and #StayHomeWithAscott to help the underprivileged.
#StayHomeWithAscott runs from now till 31st May 2020. For more information on #StayHomeWithAscott, visit Ascott’s official Instagram page @ascott_ltd or their campaign website here
