What do we remember? How do we capture our memories? Budding writers and those seeking to get in touch with your memories, come free your imagination in Remember When: From Memories to Monologues #6, a digital series of workshops which will guide you to remember, reflect and map your memories.
Conceptualised and facilitated by The Arts House and theatre director Jeffrey Tan, seniors are invited to translate their memories and experiences into writing, through a series of dramatic monologues. Seven sessions will be conducted online, with lessons that include how to create a character to lighting and blocking, with the eighth and last physical session being held at The Arts House’s Play Den, where each participant will recite their completed work.
The final monologue session will be filmed with strict adherence to safe distancing measures as outlined by NAC advisory dated 22nd June. It will be produced as a digital performance, made available online for viewing. However, if safe distancing measures change and this is no longer possible, we will adjust the programme so that the monologues are performed over Zoom and recorded through the platform.
Remember When – From Memories to Monologues #6 runs from 13th August to 15th October 2020. Registration and tickets available on Peatix
