Following the temporary closure of the Huggs-Epigram Coffee Bookshop, Epigram Bookshop is opening a 5-month pop-up store at 267 Beach Road, Singapore 199545. Open daily (except public holidays) from 11am to 10pm, the pop-up store was crafted together with The Lo & Behold Group, in their Looksee Looksee space.
“Epigram Books is grateful to The Lo & Behold Group for offering us this space, especially during difficult times such as these,” CEO and publisher of Epigram Books, Edmund Wee says.
Reflecting on this collaboration, Wee Teng Wen, Managing Partner of The Lo & Behold Group says: “Our mission at the group has always been to help make Singapore more lovable. We’re passionate supporters of the local arts and we’re excited to support Epigram and its commitment to cultivating our local literary scene.”
Local capsule coffee machine brand, Morning, has also sponsored a Morning Machine, making complimentary coffee available to visitors based on a pay what-you-wish format. We hope this welcomes people to stay awhile, to enjoy thumbing through books and getting to know the rich and varied stories of Singapore.
“We’re all about making delicious coffee more accessible and are excited to partner with The Lo & Behold Group and Epigram Books, who share our Singaporean roots, to build something enriching to the local community and creative landscape,” says Leon Foo, co-founder of Morning. “We’re currently planning for more events to take place at our new space, so that’s definitely something exciting to look forward to,” Edmund Wee says. “We can’t wait to further develop Singapore’s dynamic literary landscape with our new partners in
the months to come.”
