Premiering on BBC Earth, Changing Planet is a visionary project documenting our planet’s evolution over the next seven years as we face a pivotal moment in Earth’s history. The future of our precious ecosystems is explored through local eyewitnesses in six vulnerable locations – Iceland, the Amazon, California, Kenya, the Maldives and Cambodia as hard-hitting truths are uncovered in this unprecedented series. Besides the natural world, also traverse the polar opposite in Joanna Lumley’s Great Cities of the World as she explores the secret sides and unseen sites of Europe’s greatest cities – Paris, Rome and Berlin.

Junior Bake Off returns to BBC Lifestyle for its seventh season. Hosted by BAFTA-winning comedian Harry Hill and joined by judges pastry chef and food writer Ravneet Gill and Bake Off alumnus Liam Charles, stay tuned for this mouth-watering journey where 16 of the country’s young and passionate bakers compete!

Prepared to be hooked on a compelling series of murder investigations set against the stunning backdrop of Amsterdam with Van Der Valk S2 premiering on BBC First. The second series will take you into another raft of contrasting worlds – from alternative artistic communities, to the underbelly of the legal profession, to a serial killer obsessed with philosophy and even the dark heart of sex trafficking.

Changing Planet

The start of a visionary project to document how our planet evolves over the next seven years. We face a pivotal moment in the Earth’s history. How are California’s animal rescuers coping with increasing wildlife casualties? What impact will increasingly frequent droughts have on Kenya’s growing human population and wildlife? Meet the scientists, indigenous groups, and conservationists fighting to save these iconic places for the future.

Returning every year for seven years, Changing Planet reveals each location’s battle and asks if we are doing enough to save our planet from irreversible change.

Alexander also walks through the buzzing streets of Reykjavik, plays a round of midnight golf and rides an Icelandic horse. And in the land where rotten shark is a delicacy, Alexander samples possibly the world’s most disgusting dish – so you don’t have to.

Travel along three more of the planet’s most spectacular rivers: the Danube, the Yukon and the Zambezi.

In Europe, find out how the Danube, is coping with years of human impact. Visit North America’s Yukon and see the rich variety of life that has made this great frozen river home, from musk ox to bears. And in Africa, explore the length of the Zambezi, from a tiny trickle deep in a forest to the thundering Victoria Falls, and meet the hippos, elephants, lions and buffalo drawn to its wild waters.

Yakka Dee is like a fun, high-energy picture book which can be used as English language learning for native or non-native speakers or easily dubbed for other languages in non-English speaking territories. In each episode Dee sets off on a whirlwind word adventure.
