Hot off her critically-acclaimed role as Judy Garland in Pangdemonium’s End of the Rainbow, Mina Kaye is back at the Drama Centre Theatre for a one-night only concert, with Mina Kaye: Live In Concert this November.
As one of Singapore’s most celebrated musical voices, Mina Kaye has made a name for herself, starring in over 20 musicals, including RENT, Into the Woods and Company. In this follow-up to her 2014 sold-out concert, Mina is set to perform show-stopping ballads, toe-tapping musical tunes as well as her iconic diva impersonations made famous by her exceptional performance as Little Voice, in Pangdemonium’s 2015 production of The Rise and Fall of Little Voice. Mina will also be joined by guest performers Seong Hui Xuan, Vanessa Kee, Tiara Yap, and Honey Gluttony.
Directed and produced by Derrick Chew (Time Heist, The Curious Case of the Missing Peranakan Treasure) with Music Direction and a 4-piece band led by Joanne Ho (LKY the Musical, Company), Mina Kaye: Live In Concert is also produced as part of Sight Lines Entertainment’s 10th Anniversary celebrations.
“I produced The Mina Kaye Show back in 2014 and I have constantly nudged Mina to bring the show back all these years,” says director Derrick Chew. “I am excited to be working with this powerhouse team that we have assembled and proud to be presenting Mina Kaye: Live in Concert as part of Sight Lines’ 10th Anniversary. It’s going to be an evening of fun, laughter, and musical theatre magic!”
