If you’ve ever dreamed of strolling through a Parisian market, losing yourself in a Louvre-worthy exhibition, or catching avant-garde theatre straight from Europe, and this season, you won’t need a plane ticket.
From 25 April to 20 June, the annual vOilah! France Singapore Festival 2026 returns with its most expansive line-up yet, transforming Singapore into a vibrant playground of French culture, creativity and collaboration. vOilah! this represents a cultural bridge, one that invites you to experience the French art de vivre through food, art, music, film and ideas, all reimagined in a distinctly Singaporean context.

No French affair truly begins without indulgence, and this year’s festival opens with one of its most beloved highlights: the vOilah! French Food Market at VivoCity. Think freshly shucked oysters, artisanal cheeses, flaky pastries and fine wines all under one roof. It’s the kind of place where you arrive for a quick bite and end up lingering for hours. Adding to the buzz? Live cooking demonstrations by acclaimed chefs like Sébastien Lepinoy and Jérémy Gillon, offering a rare, up-close glimpse into Michelin-starred mastery.

‘Crosscurrents: Masterpieces of Indian, Iranian & Ottoman Art’ places masterpieces from the Louvre’s Islamic art collection in dialogue with the Asian Civilisation Museum’s own collection
Beyond the culinary delights, vOilah! 2026 invites you into deeper cultural conversations. At the Asian Civilisations Museum, Crosscurrents brings masterpieces from the Musée du Louvre to Southeast Asia for the very first time. The exhibition traces centuries-old connections between Asia, Europe and the Islamic world—reminding us that cultural exchange has always been global.

Meanwhile, over at Science Centre Singapore, One Ocean: Every Action Ripples offers something entirely different: an immersive, tech-driven journey through our oceans. Expect VR, soundscapes and stunning visuals that transport you from Arctic ice to coral reefs while quietly urging reflection on our environmental impact.

For lovers of the performing arts, the festival’s line-up reads like a passport to Europe’s most exciting stages. At the Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, LACRIMA by Caroline Guiela Nguyen peels back the glamorous façade of haute couture to reveal the human stories stitched beneath. Equally mesmerising is Planet [wanderer] by Damien Jalet and Kohei Nawa—a hypnotic dance piece where bodies move through surreal landscapes of sand and stardust. And for something closer to home, Singapore Ballet premieres Danses de Rêve, blending French choreography with timeless ballet traditions.

Music lovers are equally spoiled for choice. From the refined elegance of chamber music by Quatuor Modigliani to the raw, haunting harmonies of Corsican polyphony by Spartimu, the festival celebrates sound in all its forms. A standout moment comes with the farewell performance of Hans Graf, who closes his tenure with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra through a programme dedicated entirely to French composers. Prefer something more laid-back? The open-air jazz concert Miles Ahead! pays tribute to Miles Davis, a fitting nod to France’s long-standing love affair with jazz.

Film also takes centre stage, from arthouse screenings to family-friendly outdoor experiences. At the Filmhouse at Golden Mile Tower, the Cannes-acclaimed Love Me Tender explores identity and motherhood with emotional depth. Meanwhile, over on Sentosa, open-air screenings invite families to unwind with beautifully animated French films—picnic mat optional, but highly recommended.
What makes vOilah! truly special isn’t just its scale but the way it brings people together. Across more than 26 programmes and collaborations, the festival reflects a growing cultural dialogue between France and Singapore, one that spans art, science, food and beyond. Whether you’re a culture enthusiast, a foodie, or simply looking for something new to experience this season, vOilah! 2026 offers a chance to see Singapore through a different lens.
No passport required, just curiosity and an open mind.
