National Day is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than with food? McDonald’s Singapore is doing just that, and in conjunction with Singapore Food Festival 2017, will be launching an array of new food items inspired by local flavours from 13th July!
The star of the show is none other than the all new Nasi Lemak Burger. Inspired by the iconic Malay dish of the same name, the burger features a scrumptious chicken thigh patty fried with cornflake crunch and coconut flavours, along with a fried egg, cucumbers, caramelized onions, and of course, a dash of sweet and spicy sambal to really bring it all together.
Besides the burger, McDonald’s will also be introducing crispy criss cut fries to the menu as well as a refreshing Bandung McFizz – an all new take on the delicious rose drink.
McDonald’s will also be introducing plenty of sweet treats for the menu, with a gula melaka twist on their classic soft serve and its variants. McDonald’s will also be serving an all new Chendol Mcflurry, featuring gula melaka whipped to perfection with their vanilla ice cream, and of course, served with green chendol jelly bits. If you’re in the mood for something a little less cold, you can also get your hands on a piping hot coconut pie!
If you’re craving for some Pandan cake, then look no further than McCafe, which will also be introducing new items. Go green with their Kueh Salat cake, with delectable layers of pandan sponge and glutinous rice, and .their Pandan Coco Frappe – combining pandan and coconuts tastes into a milky final product, plus grass jelly to really cool off in our sweltering weather.
In addition, to celebrate NS50, McDonald’s will be giving all NS Men a free Apple Pie or Hot Fudge Sundae with every Extra Value Meal purchased between 4th and 10th August when they present their SAFRA card, 11B or pink IC. This July and August, reminisce about the tastes of your childhood and now with McDonald’s. All it takes is one taste to make you go ‘Sedap!!’, and you’ll surely be hankering for more.
