“When is life worth living; when is death worth celebrating?”
Last staged in 2010, The Finger Players are bringing back Chong Tze Chien’s Poop! as part of their Contemporary Classics season. With a cute title like Poop!, the last thing you’d expect from this play is an incredibly moving reflection and depiction of death and bereavement, as a father commits suicide, his wife grieves, their daughter wonders and his mother laughs.
But as weird as it sounds, that’s exactly what you’ll be experiencing in this emotionally charged performance directed by Chong Tze Chien himself, with an all-star cast consisting Julius Foo, Janice Koh, Neo Swee Lin and Jean Ng. Along the way, prepare yourselves for musings about toilet bowls alongside whimsical puppetry and incredibly creative use of blacklight from Lim Woan Wen.
This October, get those tissues ready as you experience the return of one of the strangest, most moving plays ever from The Finger Players. Also, look out for our upcoming giveaway to stand a chance to win tickets to the show!
