The Finger Players bring back local theatre legend Kuo Pao Kun’s undying classic The Spirits Play this October as part of their Contemporary Classics season.
The Spirits Play follows five Japanese spirits as they attempt to recollect and organize their jumbled memories from their life living and dying in the Second World War. As they slowly recall the atrocities and horrors of war, they become increasingly troubled and shocked by not only the foreign enemy but also the most dangerous foes of all – their own government and army.
Directed by Oliver Chong and starring Johnny Ng, Tay Kong Hui, Alvin Chiam, Tan Wan Sze, Doreen Toh, Jasmine Xie Huilin, Myra Loke and Jo Kwek, head on down to the Victoria Theatre this October for a haunting, poignant play that fully depicts the guilt and turmoil left behind, even in the aftermath of war. Also, look out for our upcoming giveaway to stand a chance to win tickets to the show!
