Sad that Singapore doesn’t really celebrate Halloween and you won’t be able to get your share of thrills, spills and chills this October? Never fear, Resorts World Sentosa will be bringing back everyone’s favourite haunted house to Universal Studios Singapore this year – Halloween Horror Nights.
Now in its 7th year, Halloween Horror Nights has officially announced this year’s very appropriate theme – Seven Deadlier Sins, where the seven ‘Sinisters’ will each be embodying one of the seven deadly sins as they prowl the theme park. This time around, there’ll be a total of FIVE haunted houses and TWO live performances! New activities include ‘zombie laser tag’ using the latest brainwave technology, while you can also fully expect zombies creeping up on you at every opportunity with each step you take in the theme park, which will of course, undergo a complete transformation and have rides open till late.
At the all new Zombie Laser Tag Experience, visitors will work in teams of four to kill off deranged zombies that have taken over infested areas of the park in a deadly game of Laser Tag. Using brainwave technology to create a unique experience, participants will wear headbands that sense concentration levels to help unlock clues in their quest. This experience is available to guests by upgrading their entry ticket for an additional fee.
Of course as we all know, the highlight of each Halloween Horror Night is the haunted houses. This year’s edition will feature completely original scares and narratives that promise to be fiercely relevant, as well as pants-wettingly scary. Headlining the haunted houses is the dreaded Death Mall, where an abandoned mall becomes the site of bloodthirsty, malicious ghosts. Guests can also venture Inside the Mind of a most disturbed force of evil as they fall deeper and deeper into the ruined psyche of a madman, with increasingly twisted nightmare scenarios that await them the further in they walk.
This year’s live shows are also completely new, and will feature plague doctors using humans as mutant test subjects set during the Black Death, with death-defying stunts performed by international artists, while K-pop fans should head on down for the Slice of Life Tour, where an album launch goes horrifyingly awry.
Shivering yet? We know we sure are, and we can’t wait to scream our heads off this October as Resorts World Sentosa scares the pants right off us in this bloody exciting new edition of Halloween Horror Nights.
