One of the highlights to look out for this time around would be the 6th edition of the Young Talent Programme 2017 Exhibition. Presented in collaboration with ION Art, the exhibition acts as a platform for young Southeast Asian artists under 35 to present their works to potential gallerists and dealers. This time around, eight artists participated in the programme, and up to three of them will stand a chance to present a solo exhibition with ION Art Gallery in August/September 2018. Past participants of the Young Talent Programme include award-winning photographer Alecia Neo, whose work acted as a centrepiece for the 2017 Singapore Writers Festival, as well as Lavender Chang, who has exhibited internationally and won the President’s Design Award for Design of the Year in 2016.

Even if you’re not purchasing art, there’s plenty of peripheral activities such as a pop up cafe from A Stimulant by Sarnies for caffeine-starved visitors, as well as site-specific installations such as interactive life-size installations and video/performance interdisciplinary works. This November, be sure to book yourself a ticket to the Autumn Edition of the 2017 Affordable Art Fair, and prepare yourself for an explosion of visual wonder and the sheer joy of discovering these new artists you’ll come to love and follow in the years to come.

The Autumn Edition of the Affordable Art Fair runs from 17th – 19th November at the F1 Pit Building. More information and tickets to the Affordable Art Fair available here.
