Blaze The Bay With The Return of The DBS Marina Regatta

Just in time to celebrate DBS’ 50th Anniversary, the seventh edition of the DBS Marina Regatta returns bigger and better than ever before to bring a rush of adrenaline and a serious dose of fun to the Bay with Singapore’s biggest water sports festival!

Once again held at The Promontory @ Marina Bay, this year’s edition will be taking place over not one but two weekends, from 26th – 27th May and 2nd – 3rd June. As always, the highlight of the Regatta would be the central dragon boat race. Expect high tension dragon boating action as about 80 teams from across Asia will gather to compete for cash prizes totalling a whopping SGD 134,000, the biggest prize money pool on offer for the sport in Asia.

For the first time ever, DBS will also be partnering up with athletic apparel brand Under Armour to introduce Battle Bay Extreme, Southeast Asia’s largest land and water obstacle course. A total of three levels are available for participants to choose from, and registration starts from the low low price of SGD 8. DBS will also be holding a series of complimentary fitness and wellness activities around the Bay to help participants prepare for the course from 17th April, available by registration. All registration fees from Battle Bay Extreme also go to a good cause – in addition to DBS’s initial donation of SGD 50,000, the proceeds from the registration fees will be donated to Thye Hua Kwan’s move to aid Active Aging seniors.

Even for non-participants, members of the public can expect a relaxing and fun weekend out at the Bay, with the concurrently occurring events DBS Creators’ Market and Artbox happening nearby, where visitors can take part in wellness activities, shop at a bazaar, and of course, purchase food, fashion and products from over 400 stalls.

DBS’ 50th Anniversary looks set to be a truly golden one with the seventh edition of the DBS Marina Regatta, and moves boldly into the future with Asia’s biggest water sports festival.
