Preview: Mamma Mia! presented by BASE Entertainment Asia

With ABBA announcing their comeback and the release of Mamma Mia 2 in cinemas in July, 2018 is shaping up to be the year of ABBA all around the world. It wouldn’t be complete then, without the return of the ABBA musical itself – Mamma Mia!

Last seen in Singapore in 2014, the smash hit musical makes a triumphant return this November, bringing back 22 of your favourite ABBA songs from ‘Money Money Money’ to ‘I Have A Dream’, ‘Dancing Queen’ to of course, the eponymous ‘Mamma Mia!’

Mamma Mia! itself is set on a beautiful Greek island paradise, where Sophie is about to get married. But not knowing her father to give her away, she ends up inviting all three potential men to the island where they’ll come face to face with the romantic histories they shared with her fearsome mother Donna. Joined by her best friends Tanya and Rosie, Donna takes a step back into the past, and relives the glory days of her past as the entire island comes together to celebrate the wedding of a lifetime.

Since premiering in Dublin in September 2004, this international tour has visited 85 cities across 38 countries and sold over 5 million tickets, and is one of only five musicals to have run for more than 10 years both on Broadway and in the West End. Get out your ‘Money Money Money’ and come dressed as a ‘Dancing Queen’ for some hot summer nights, as Mamma Mia! returns to our shores this November!

Mamma Mia! plays at the Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands from 3rd – 18th November. Tickets available from SISTIC
