The third edition of the annual gastronomic adventure Chang Sensory Trails returns this August. Organised by the titular Chang, Thailand’s leading beer brand, this year’s edition takes place over a single weekend from 31st August to 1st September, to be held at The Lawn at Marina Bay, after already making the rounds in London and Los Angeles.
In this edition, the trails will shine a spotlight on Thai home recipes, introducing the Thai philosophy of Lamiat as expressed in Thai cuisine. Lamiat refers to the philosophy of attention to detail and looking beyond the ordinary, leading to how the deep and authentic appreciation of the small things end up refining and producing perfection itself. For the trails, this manifests itself in Thai cuisine, with its use of a spectrum of herbs, spices and fresh ingredients, each contributing to the overall balanced flavours thus creating special gastronomic experiences for the palate.
Through the Chang Sensory Trails, expect to see collaborations with Thai chefs and restaurants around the world, as they strive to bring the real and natural flavours of Thailand. A total of eight Thai restaurants have been roped in to participate, with each of them presenting three signature dishes harking back to the familiar recipes from their hometowns in Thailand. The eight participating restaurants are: Aroy Dee, Baan Ying, Bangkok Jam, Gin Khao, Little Elephant, Long Chim, Tamarind Hill and Un-Yang-Kor-Dai.
Join Chang in experiencing the true tastes of Thailand, and go on a gastronomic journey to discover the true meaning of Lamiat in the best way possible – food and beer.
