Born in Cebu, Philippines, Albert Tiu has been called “an artist of uncommon abilities” by American Record Guide, receiving plenty of fanfare for his interpretations and technical accomplishment. And this June, Singaporeans will get a chance to see the maestro in person with the Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra’s (BHSO) DIVERGENCE.

In this crowd-favourite symphonic masterworks concert conducted by Adrian Tan, the orchestra will present 3 major works by Romantic powerhouses Liszt, Wagner, and Brahms. Albert Tiu will returns to the stage with BHSO to perform the 2nd piano concertos of Johannes Brahms and Franz Liszt, both of whom spearheaded the development of music in the late 19th Century. In addition, the orchestra will present the overture to the opera “Tannhauser”, by German composer Richard Wagner.

Albert Tiu’s last performance with BHSO was in 2016, where he performed Brahms Piano Concerto No. 1. Having received thunderous applause and glowing reviews, expect this new concert to be yet another astounding treat for the ears, as DIVERGENCE plays this June.

DIVERGENCE plays at the SOTA Concert Hall on 30th June 2019. Tickets available from SISTIC
