Following in the footsteps of their recent Ondeh Ondeh Porter specially brewed for National Day 2020, local brewing company Sunbird Brewing is ready to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival with a brand new brew – the Rose Oolong Pale Ale, the perfect companion to your mooncake feast.
A fascinating blend inspired by the very versatility of Tea leaves, the Rose Oolong Pale Ale is brewed exclusively in limited batches by Sunbird head brewer Clive Tan, with the fragrance of crushed rose buds and rare-orchid infused with exquisite oolong tea leaves hand-picked from the Wuyi High Mountain. This harmonises a generous fruity and rose perfume with woody and floral notes that is intense, complex and well-balanced.
Head Brewer and Director of Sunbird Brewing Company Clive Tan shared the tea- tasting journey: “The finalisation of the Rose Oolong Pale Ale came together after months of intensive R&D, we have tried various tea-leaves and infusions, and nothing has been more fruitful than the current blend. We also know that the floral oolong is a soothing tea rich in antioxidants, making it the perfect choice to complement the taste of mooncakes.”
