Preview: Christmas Time With Dick Lee by Base Entertainment Asia

Get your festive gear on, because Singapore’s most iconic singer-songwriter Dick Lee is coming to Marina Bay Sands to celebrate Christmas 2021. Playing at the Sands Theatre on 22nd and 23rd December, Christmas Time with Dick Lee sees Dick celebrating Christmas onstage, as he serenades you with his favourite Christmas tunes.

Joining him will be Singapore’s premier acapella group Vocaluptuous, who include Dick’s brother John Lee as a member, and aspiring local band Third Degree, as they come together to perform in Dick’s biggest concert since the pandemic began 2 years ago.

“It has been almost 20 years since I last did a Christmas show and if there has ever been a year where we have all needed some Christmas cheer, 2021 is it,” says Dick. “Christmas has always been a very special time for me as my family celebrates it in the most traditional way and I am looking forward to share with audiences the one thing that identifies Christmas the most: The Beautiful Music of the Season.”

Christmas Time with Dick Lee will featured some of Dick Lee’s favourite holiday songs, including It’s The Most Wonderful Time, It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas, All I Want For Christmas, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, Last Christmas and Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, alongside some of his own compositions.

“It has been years that Dick Lee and I have been trying to come together for a production and it is nothing less of a Christmas miracle that everything has fallen into place at a trying time. We aim to bring some year-end joy for both his and our fans with this show. I hope that this is a production that will continue to become a seasonal tradition in Singapore,” said Chief Executive Officer of Base Entertainment Asia Chantal Prudhomme.
