If you thought the Choo family couldn’t possibly top a wedding or a divorce party, think again. This year, Dream Academy invites audiences back into Singapore’s most gloriously dysfunctional family saga with Choo’s Masquerade Party, a brand-new immersive comedy dinner theatre experience where secrets are served alongside a lavish buffet and nobody is quite who they seem.
From the team behind The Dim Sum Dollies®, Broadway Beng® and last year’s hit The Divorce Party, this latest instalment reunites audiences with the ever-chaotic Choo clan. The story picks up after the fallout of Phoebe Choo’s headline-making divorce, with a new power player stepping into the spotlight. Fresh from a unanimous AGM victory, Phillippa Choo has been crowned CEO of the family business and is ready to unveil her bold new vision: Choo’s New Plastique. Naturally, such a monumental corporate rebirth calls for a celebration. But this is a Choo family gathering, which means things are unlikely to go according to plan.
Guests are invited to don their finest silver-and-gold attire and step into an extravagant masquerade party at the Atelier Ballroom in The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore. Upon arrival, each guest receives a specially designed masquerade mask, setting the stage for an evening of hidden identities, whispered agendas and revelations waiting to explode across the dinner tables. As Phillippa herself teases, expect secrets flying faster than buffet gossip and enough intrigue to turn even the dessert station into a battlefield.
Written and directed by Selena Tan, and starring Sebastian Tan and Vernetta Lopez, Choo’s Masquerade Party blends immersive theatre, outrageous comedy and audience interaction into a uniquely Singaporean night out. Guests won’t simply watch the drama unfold—they’ll find themselves seated right in the middle of it, as family rivalries, business ambitions and long-buried secrets collide in spectacular fashion.
Adding to the experience is The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore’s indulgent buffet spread, complete with live stations and an impressive dessert selection. It’s dinner theatre in the grandest sense, where the feast is every bit as decadent as the drama unfolding around it. The evening also promises a dramatic fashion runway, larger-than-life personalities and enough unexpected twists to keep audiences guessing long after the masks come off.
Whether you’re a returning member of the extended Choo family or stepping into their world for the first time, you’ll quickly discover that beneath every carefully crafted façade lies another secret waiting to be revealed. Running from 14 August to 4 October 2026, Choo’s Masquerade Party transforms an ordinary night out into a deliciously chaotic celebration of ambition, reinvention and family dysfunction. The only question is: behind which mask is the biggest secret hiding? One thing is certain—with the Choos, what happens at the party never stays at the party.
Choo’s Masquerade Party plays from 14th August to 4th October 2026 at the Capitol Kempinski Hotel. Tickets available from BookMyShow
