In yet another monumental year for Pangdemonium, their 2017 season rounds off with the Singaporean debut of award winning musical Fun Home!

Adapted from graphic novelist Alison Bechdel’s (Dykes to Watch Out For) best selling memoir of the same name, Fun Home tells the story of Bechdel’s life growing up in a uniquely dysfunctional family, in the titular ‘fun home’ (short for funeral home). Fun Home will grip you with emotion and touch you with Bechdel’s singular determination to connect with her volatile father with a secret of his own, charting the events that defined her childhood and eventually, her life.

Fun Home received critical acclaim when it debuted on Broadway in 2015, nabbing five prestigious Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Original Score and Best Book of a Musical. As always, Fun Home will be directed by the indomitable Tracie Pang, and feature an all star cast consisting Adrian Pang, Monique Wilson, Nikki Muller, Elena Wang, Benjamin Kheng, Gail Belmonte, Chloe Choo, Elly Gaskell, Aria Zhang, Damien Weber and Bjorn Haakenson.

Exhilarating and heart-wrenching, Fun Home will delight and move with its beautiful songs composed by Jeanine Tesori and lyrics by Lisa Kron, an unforgettably poignant portrait of family that will resonate with anyone’s who’s ever felt a little different.
