In a pandemic year, with countless challenges tossed at them, Pangdemonium has still managed to produce some of the year’s most compelling drama, including the heartwrenching one-woman show Girls and Boys, and the currently ongoing The Mother. Pangdemonium will be hosting their annual fundraiser in a different format this year due to the changing COVID-19 safe management guidelines. They will launch their first-ever silent auction via the GalaBid platform from 4th to 10th November.
PangsGiving 2021: Silent Auction will feature an eclectic mix of auction items, from exclusive Pangdemonium behind-the-scenes experiences such as a backstage tour or sitting up close and personal in the Stage Manager’s booth while watching the production, to unique experiences such as tintype portrait session at Hip Xiong Studio, or a luxurious Capella staycation.
“We’re doing all we can. In every which way we can. The world is different but our passion remains to tell stories that will move you in ways that will comfort and inspire”, says Pangdemonium’s Board Director, Tan Kheng Hua. “Our auction to raise funds to continue doing this goes silent, but our need for your support goes out loud and clear. Please look through the goodies we’ve put together and help, in whichever amount you are comfortable with.”
Pangdemonium believes in contributing to the ecosystem of theatre to keep the local arts scene dynamic and fresh. All proceeds from this event will bring in vital funds to support the three pillars of Pangdemonium – staging productions that challenge and inspire, nurturing the next generation of theatre practitioners through various apprenticeships and performance training initiatives, and helping Pangdemonium with the general running costs of the company.
