With live music and concerts back in full swing, along with international flights and travel, it’s a warm welcome to normalcy, as the Esplanade’s Mosaic Music Series returns to our shores.

Kicking off in July, local band Forests takes to the stage with Forests FUN RAISER. Receiving critical acclaim for their sophomore album Spending Eternity In A Japanese Convenience Store and their latest release Get In Losers, We’re Going To Eternal Damnation in April, Forests are about to raise the roof of the Esplanade’s most prestigious stage—the Concert Hall—with as much FUN and riotous, chaotic joy that this “3 piece chicken nugget” can bring to Mosaic Music Series.
On 15th July, Coming Up Roses marks the release of their sophomore EP Everything Is, alt-rock/shoegaze band Coming Up Roses bring their incendiary live show to Esplanade’s Annexe Studio. Written as a compilation of songs that reflect the band’s exploration of themselves and the world around them, Everything Is cathartically distils the emotional rollercoaster of the past three years into four stage-ready songs, from the Sundays-inspired jangle of Glass Stained Eyes to the wall-of-sound guitars on closer Would You Ever. Be sure to also look out for familiar favourites from their debut mini-album Waters during their set as well.
On 16th July, alternative R&B trio brb. will debut brand new songs in their just friends concert, alongside familiar favourites from their latest EP Fleur and debut mini-album Relationshit. Look forward to being surprised by some very special guests at just friends.
Come 30th November, Norwegian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist boy pablo comes to Singapore. Look out for beloved bops like hey girl, Dance, Baby and Feeling Lonely contributing to his sold out world tours and international following. In 2021, boy pablo dropped his debut full-length album Wachito Rico, honing his particular brand of woozily romantic indie pop and fusing a jangly, retro sound with sun-kissed ’60s melodies. Good vibes guaranteed as he brings the charm, fun, heartbreak and joy of Wachito Rico to the stage for the first time.
In between, local artists Linying and Sobs are set to take to the stage on 23rd September and 21st October, while South Korea’s Say Sue Me arrives on 20th October. Japan’s Meitei plays the Annexe Studio on 22nd October, and Thailand’s Phum Viphurit is in town on 23rd October to play the Esplanade Concert Hall, and still more to be announced in the months to come.
With the Mosaic Music Series, fans and newbies alike are about to rock out to these acclaimed bands and artists as they take to the stage and finally, bring us some incredible live music at the Esplanade this season.
