Preview: Fat Kids Are Harder to Kidnap 2022 by How Drama

How Drama’s beloved signature show Fat Kids Are Harder to Kidnap ® is back this August for the 14th year in a row! In this fringe-style theatre performance, get ready to experience a marathon 31 playlets and sketches in an hour, all centred on poking fun at current affairs and pop culture.

The twist? Audience members get to decide the order of the plays, as cast members Ross Nasir, Pavan J Singh, Nicholas Bloodworth, Victoria Chen, and Dennis Sofian show off their acting chops and leave you roaring with laughter as they work their way through all 31 playlets. From chicken shortages to parliamentary lies, to the mad Kia woman at the Malaysian checkpoint, Fat Kids Are Harder To Kidnap promises that you’ll be all caught up to the latest news that’s got everyone talking, and have a great time while at it.

“After two years, we are finally able to perform for an audience at full capacity. To those who haven’t been back to the theatre yet, do join us for a laugh,” says How Drama’s co-artistic director Melissa Sim, who also directs the show, and co-wrote the playlets with Jeremy Au Yong.

This year, How Drama will also be working with Singapore distillery Compendium Spirits and taking over the bar at Wild Rice @ Funan. Come have a drink before or after the show and leave your cares at the door for just an hour or so.

Fat Kids Are Harder to Kidnap runs from 11th to 13th August 2022 at Wild Rice @ Funan. Tickets available here
