Preview: Sherlock Sam – The Musical by Dream Academy

This May, get ready for the world premiere of Sherlock Sam – The Musical. Produced and presented by Dream Academy, in collaboration with Epigram Books, Sherlock Sam – The Musical is based on the beloved children’s book series of the same name by A.J. Low, about a a plucky kid detective and his trusty robot, as they solve mysteries in the heart of Singapore.

Featuring an original script by playwright Jo Tan and a score by acclaimed Singaporean music director, Elaine Chan, Sherlock Sam – The Musical brings the beloved characters of the Sherlock Sam series to life on stage. Audiences will join the greatest kid-detective in Singapore, his robot sidekick Watson, and his friends as they embark on an exciting adventure to solve a mystery at Fort Canning Park.

With a compelling storyline and memorable characters, catchy songs to expertly choreographed dance routines, the musical promises to be an enjoyable experience for the whole family, with audiences thoroughly entertained while learning valuable life lessons along the way.

In the musical, follow Sherlock Sam and his robot assistant, Watson, as they set out to solve a mysterious case at Fort Canning Hill in Singapore with the help of his sister Wendy and their friends, Nazhar, Jimmy and Eliza. Strange ghostly moans have been heard in the area, and the young detectives are determined to uncover the source. As they continue their investigations, they find themselves facing unexpected challenges and twists that test their detective skills. Will they be able to solve the case, or will it remain a mystery forever?

Only one way to find out, as Sherlock Sam – The Musical comes to the Capitol Theatre this May.
