The Tunnel of Colours

Get ready to be dazzled as the world’s largest light, sound, and multimedia event of its kind, makes its international premiere in Singapore from 13 September 2024. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Bayfront Event Space, illumi is a nocturnal event that will transform the iconic Singapore skyline into a breathtaking display of larger-than-life structures and innovative light installations, featuring 20 million LED lights – sure to captivate visitors of all ages.

The Tunnel of Colours

illumi was created by the team behind the acclaimed production Cavalia, which mesmerised Singapore audiences with its majestic horses, acrobats and special effects at the Bayfront Event Space under the White Big Top in 2014. Presented by Asia Pacific’s leading live entertainment company Base Entertainment Asia, renowned for bringing globally celebrated productions to the region, illumi marks a significant collaboration of these entertainment powerhouses after a decade.

Puppies and Kitties

Since its debut in Montreal, Canada in October 2019, illumi has garnered an overwhelming response from visitors and media, praised not only for its artistic creativity and immersive experience but also for its transformative effect on ordinary spaces, turning them into magical landscapes. Having captivated over 3.5 million visitors, illumi is now set to light up Singapore’s skyline with the world’s tallest Tree of Lights and 9 unique worlds featuring lifelike animatronic creatures—with thousands of installations brought to life by 20 million LED lights.

The Infinite Poles

illumi invites visitors to explore 9 different themed worlds, each more enchanting than the last. To highlight a few, ‘The Enchanted Maples’ transports guests to Canada with glowing maple leaves and sweet treats from the Sugar Shack. ‘Walls of Lights’ transforms into a winter wonderland with shimmering snowflakes and curtains of twinkling lights. ‘Puppies and Kitties’ offers peace and harmony among over 200 adorable animals.

The Magical Forest

‘The Magical Forest’ dazzles with multicoloured trees and majestic wildlife. ‘The illumi Tree of Light stands 47 meters tall – the size of 5 Merlions stacked atop one another, which sheds its light on an enchanting carousel for a joyful ride under the moonlight. ‘The Tunnel of Colours’ presents a kaleidoscopic adventure. ‘The Dune Palace’ evokes the Sahara with genies and magic floating carpets. ‘The Jurassic Kingdom’ brings prehistoric creatures to life.

While using 20 million LED lights for its dazzling displays, sustainability is at the core of illumi’s ethos, committed to minimising its environmental footprint. The event adopts energy-efficient lighting technologies and prioritises the use of recycled materials in its installations. Efforts are also focused on optimising energy consumption and reducing waste throughout the event.
