Singapore-based creative platform GOFY, recognised for spotlighting Southeast Asia’s vibrant urban art scene, is excited to unveil Melting Thresholds—the latest chapter in their GOFY& series, which showcases the diverse talents of Southeast Asian artists through partnerships with lifestyle brands. This whimsical showcase brings together the works of four rising visual artists from the region: Shu and Money Wang from Malaysia, Nina Sach from Thailand, and Jaeyyelle from Singapore. Presented in collaboration with Sweet Cheeks, a much-loved gelato brand celebrated for its inventive flavour combinations, the exhibition offers an unexpected blend of art and indulgence.
Melting Thresholds delves into the liminal spaces between the real and the surreal. Through a tapestry of hidden faces, blurred recollections, and intimate reflections on identity, the exhibition contemplates the transformative nature of dreams and the thresholds we navigate in daily life. The works invite viewers to challenge their perceptions and embrace the in-between as a site of imagination, introspection, and possibility.

Highlights of Melting Thresholds include an Art Showcase, where you can discover artworks by Shu, Nina Sach, Money Wang, and Jaeyyelle, each offering a dreamlike interpretation of memory, identity, and the unknown. Affordable artwork prints and Edition 1 of 1 original works will be available for purchase in-store at Sweet Cheeks and online at GOFY’s website at a price range of SGD$50 to SGD$1,000.

Two limited-edition gelato flavours inspired by the exhibition’s artwork and themes will launch on-site at Sweet Cheeks—blending imagination, nostalgia, and unexpected notes into every scoop. Blurred Lines combines earthy black sesame with velvety ube in a swirl of nutty depth and mellow sweetness, blurring the boundaries between bold and soft, familiar and new. Hazy Daze brings together toasty houjicha and creamy banana in a slow, hypnotic melt, like golden hour in dessert form. A series of collectible keychains in four unique styles, each featuring new artwork by one of the exhibiting artists, will also be available for purchase exclusively at Sweet Cheeks and online via GOFY’s website.

Tiffany Soh, Curator of GOFY, shares, “Melting Thresholds is about dissolving lines; between real and imagined, sweet and strange, art and everyday rituals. Partnering with Sweet Cheeks allowed us to bring these ideas into a lived experience, where art is not just seen, but tasted. We wanted to explore the in-between spaces where ideas take shape, and where emotion and instinct blur into something more sensory and unexpected. Our partnership with Sweet Cheeks allowed us to bring these ideas into a multi-sensory experience, where art isn’t confined to walls, but something you can taste, touch, and carry with you. It’s playful, a little surreal, and very human.”
Visitors can expect a sensorial journey through art and flavour, as Shu, Money Wang, Nina Sach, and Jaeyyelle transform Sweet Cheeks into a whimsical dreamscape where the surreal meets the everyday.

Shu, Money Wang, Nina Sach, and Jaeyyelle each brought their distinct visual language to a reimagination of Sweet Cheeks’ signature logo, infusing it with motifs drawn from memory, identity, and the surreal. These reinterpretations come to life as a series of limited-edition keychains, each design reflecting the unique perspective of the artist behind it. This collaboration highlights the power of art and brand partnerships to translate creativity into everyday objects, offering visitors a playful, collectible extension of the exhibition experience.
Xavier Lim, Co-Founder of Sweet Cheeks, says, “We’re so pumped for this collaboration! At Sweet Cheeks, we believe gelato is its own kind of art—bold, expressive, and best when shared. Partnering with GOFY lets us mix flavour with flair, turning our café into a canvas where creativity melts into every scoop.”

Expanding the exhibition’s reach beyond the visual, GOFY has partnered with local home and lifestyle brand Objects of Comfort (OOC) to explore how art and rest intersect. Just as Melting Thresholds invites viewers to reflect on the space between waking and dreaming, OOC embraces sleep as a space where creativity stirs and ideas quietly take shape. Select pillowcases by OOC will be available for purchase at Sweet Cheeks (Lavender) for a limited time only.
