LES MISÉRABLES THE ARENA SPECTACULAR has been conceived and developed by Cameron Mackintosh to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Boublil and Schönberg’s Les Misérables, the world’s longest-running musical. The staging, lighting and visual design have been reimagined to deliver an epic, cinematic experience for a large-scale stage production. It features a complete set, the full cast in costume, and a live orchestra, transitioning between scenes without the use of traditional set changes.

Following its acclaimed launch in the UK and Europe in September 2024, the production has continued to tour internationally with over one million tickets having been sold worldwide so far, playing to packed houses and breaking box office records in Australia and Japan. The Singapore presentation at Sands Theatre brings Cameron Mackintosh’s critically acclaimed production to life on a scale never before seen by local audiences, retaining all the key elements of the international version as part of this global anniversary celebration.

Cameron Mackintosh’s critically acclaimed production of Boublil and Schönberg’s Les Misérables continues its record-breaking run at the Sondheim Theatre in London’s West End, where it celebrates its 40th Anniversary on Wednesday 8 October with a special Gala Performance. The world tour began as the stage musical entered its 40th revolutionary year, opening to critical acclaim, and will run throughout the upcoming 40th anniversary celebrations for the world’s longest-running musical in 2025.
