Preview: Disney Announces the Full Cast for the Asia Premiere of Beauty and the Beast

Disney Theatrical Group is thrilled to announce the full cast for the Asia Premiere of Beauty and the Beast, including the roles of Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs Potts, Babette, Madame, Gaston, Le Fou and Maurice. This new production of Beauty and the Beast will make its only stop in Asia at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands from 11 December 2025 to 25 January 2026

Rohan Browne will play Lumiere, Gareth Jacobs will play Cogsworth, Jayde Westaby will play Mrs Potts, Jackson Head will play Gaston, Adam Di Martino will play Le Fou, and Mark Owen-Taylor will play Maurice. The role of Babette will be played by Hayley Martin, and Madame will be played by Alana Tranter.

Rohan Browne has played Peter Allen in The Boy From Oz, Don Lockwood in Singin’ in the Rain and Riff in West Side Story. He graced the silver screen in Dance AcademyMiss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries and Hamish & Andy’s True Stories, and was an original artist in the groundbreaking motion picture, the Academy Award-winning Happy Feet.

Best known for his star turn as the Genie in Disney’s Aladdin the Musical, which played in Singapore in 2019, Gareth Jacobs is returning as Cogsworth.

Hailing from the UK, Jayde Westaby’s theatre credits include playing the roles of Magenta in The Rocky Horror Show (UK tour), Rizzo in Grease (West End), Ali in MAMMA MIA! (International tour), the original London cast of Thoroughly Modern Millie (West End), Madame Giry in The Phantom of the Opera (Australia), and, in a full circle moment, Jayde played the Enchantress in the original cast of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (UK tour). 

Joining the ensemble are Alex Mulcahy, Angela Brischetto, Annabelle Rosewarne, Annaliese Hall, Bella Runnalls, Bree Stephens, Callum Marshall, David Duketis, Declan Allen, Emma Dawson, Grace Williams, Jack Reason, James MacAlpine, Lewis Shilvock, Luke Ward, Madelene Kirkwood, Madison Randl, Oscar Mulcahy, Phoebe Surman, Rubin Matters, and William Brougham. Also joining the ensemble is Tanika Anderson, a former Hi-5 cast member and a familiar face to Singaporean and regional audiences who grew up with the popular children’s entertainment group.

This exciting collection of performers joins the previously announced cast of Shubshri Kandiah as Belle and Brendan Xavier as Beast.

Shubshri is known to Singapore audiences for her captivating portrayal of Princess Jasmine in Disney’s Aladdin the Musical during its 2019 season, while Brendan won hearts as Kristoff in Disney’s Frozen the Musical when it was staged here in 2023. Having both performed in recent Disney productions in Singapore, their return brings a familiar connection to Disney’s theatrical legacy on the local stage.

Beauty and the Beast is a much-loved classic that continues to fill the hearts of both new and returning audiences. Based on the iconic 1991 animated film, the original production of Beauty and the Beast played for more than 13 years on Broadway, remaining to this day one of the top 10 longest-running shows in Broadway history, and touring to 37 countries worldwide. Audiences in Asia will be enchanted by this new production, featuring the nostalgic and spellbinding songs of Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, including Belle, Gaston, Be Our Guest and the cherished title song, Beauty and the Beast. 

In this brand-new production, the enchanting tale of Belle and the Beast has been reimagined with breathtaking new sets, costume designs, and state-of-the-art technology to bring the timeless romance to life on stage with all the spectacle and grandeur audiences know and love. 

Beauty and the Beast is produced by Disney Theatrical Group under the direction of Andrew Flatt and Anne Quart and presented in Singapore by Base Entertainment Asia under the direction of Chantal Prudhomme.
