“Ancient Egypt Unveiled” has sparked widespread public interest, as reflected by the exceptional demand for its original exhibition merchandise. The Museum is prioritising the restocking process and popular items such as the Ancient Egypt Unveiled Blind Box will be fully restocked at the ART EXPRESS by The Commercial Press gift shop on G/F, and the pop-up shop on 4/F by tomorrow (12 December), while the Black Cat Plush Collectible will return to stores soon within December.

The exhibition catalogue Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums (Traditional Chinese edition) and the Exhibition Guidebook (Traditional Chinese and English bilingual edition), produced and published by the HKPM, are now available for sale at the ART EXPRESS by The Commercial Press gift shop on G/F and the pop-up shop on 4/F. The English edition of the catalogue will be released in mid-December.

The Museum will also publish a limited-edition children’s picture book, Ancient Egyptian Unveiled: A Young Explorer’s Guide in mid-December. In this imaginative journey, the ancient Egyptian cat goddess Bastet transforms into an archaeologist, guiding young readers through the fascinating stories behind 6 highlight artefacts from the exhibition, illuminating the rich history and culture of ancient Egypt. The HKPM’s exclusive educational product, the “Pyramid Paper Folding Kit”, also to be launched in mid-December, encourages an exploration of the unique architecture and internal mysteries of pyramids while assembling the model. This series of fun and educational products makes for wonderful gifts for discovering the secrets of world civilisations.

Starbucks Hong Kong has unveiled its new concept store on G/F of the Museum in late November. Celebrating Chinese culture, the store features a striking handwritten Chinese signage of “Starbucks” created by Hong Kong designer Westley Wong. Visitors can immerse themselves further in artistry with ceramic creations and mineral pigment paintings that beautifully depict the life cycle of the coffee bean. Visitors can also enjoy HKPM-exclusive Starbucks Coffee Micro-experiences, hands-on experiences that invite guests to taste, explore, and engage with the artistry of coffee. Stay tuned for the upcoming Museum-exclusive beverage.

King Lung Heen on the 4/F of the Museum has also unveiled a themed set menu “Flavours of the Pharaohs”, where the craftsmanship of “Ancient Civilisation × Contemporary Cantonese Cuisine” brings the legends of ancient Egypt into exquisite Cantonese delicacies, inviting visitors to experience the flavours of the Nile. In addition, renowned culinary brand DALLOYAU has launched a pop-up truck on the 2/F South Atrium of the Museum, featuring the exclusive DA CHOCO crispy chocolate, available in Middle Eastern-inspired flavours and packaging adorned with patterns inspired by the HKPM.
