Created by Slava Polunin, hailed by The London Times as “The Greatest Clown in the World,” Slava’s Snowshow has earned over 20 international awards, including the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Entertainment (1998), a Drama Desk Award, the Triumph Award, the Golden Nose Award, and a Tony Award nomination for Best Special Theatrical Event (2009). Having introduced over 12 million audience members worldwide to its whimsical wonders, the show is a timeless theatrical experience that transcends age, language, and geography.

Experience the joy and playful spirit of childhood in a wordless, visually stunning performance, where clowns guide audiences through foolish, mischievous, and magical moments. The stage comes alive with swirling snow, gusts of wind, and a giant spider web of white threads that stretches into the audience, drawing everyone into the playful chaos. Audiences are swept into a shared world of laughter, wonder, and irresistible silliness, from giant balloons bouncing into the crowd to heartwarming farewells at a railway platform, culminating in a snowstorm finale that leaves spectators spellbound.

Slava, is celebrated for his yellow clown character, Assissai, and his visionary approach to theatre. Beyond acting and directing, he is an artistic director and producer of large-scale events, uniting hundreds of artists across disciplines to create immersive, collective performances.

Following his artistic contribution in creating all the clown acts for Cirque du Soleil’s Alegria, Slava presented Snowshow in the early 1990s, a work that continues to evolve and delight with each performance.

When asked what audiences can expect, Slava explained, “In the first place one should expect a journey into your childhood, sparkling with your dreams, into mine, covered by the snowy blanket, into ours, filled with anticipation and dreams. A trip into the world of bright colours, true feelings and important small details, details that one only notices when young. In any case, each person sees his or her own story in the show, his own world. This is very important to me.”

He adds that the most magical aspect of the show is the intimate, non-verbal communication with the audience, a subtle connection that emerges during the performance and creates the true magic of theatre.

Since its world premiere at the 1996 Edinburgh Festival, Slava’s Snowshow has toured over 225 cities in 40 countries, captivating audiences of all ages. Its prior visits to Singapore have been met with media and public acclaim, solidifying its place as a must-see theatrical show.

This July, audiences can once again immerse themselves in the whimsical, breathtaking world of Slava’s Snowshow, a celebration of imagination, joy, and the playful chaos that unites us all.

Slava’s Snowshow runs from 15th July 2026 at the Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands. Tickets are now on sale via Marina Bay Sands Ticketing, SISTIC and Klook.
