February is already fast upon us and everyone’s most dreaded holiday comes along with it – Valentine’s. Whether you’re singe or happily attached, god knows you’ll still be recovering from the sheer commercialism of it all even a week after the big V. And the solution? None other than the return of Dwayne Lau’s hit show A Date With Dwayne!
Making a comeback after a sold out run in 2015, this independently produced show by local actor Dwayne Lau will play at ITE College Central on 23rd and 24th February. This time around, A Date With Dwayne – Let’s Go Steady! will see the actor inviting audiences into his very own ‘Love Shack’, and feature all new material while acquainting audiences with some of the quirkiest characters from Dwayne’s imagination! From a lonely florist to wannabe yoga aunties, expect to be entertained and titillated as Dwayne brings you on a series of comedic, musical vignettes that explore love in all its forms.
But what’s a date without company? Dwayne will be joined onstage by some of his best friends, with Siti Khalijah, Ethel Yap and Ryan Ang making up the rest of this stellar cast. In addition, the show will be directed by the indomitable Pam Oei and feature music arranged by and performed live by Elaine Chan. During the month of love this February, mark your calendars, make a date, and come on down for a romantic evening of laughter, tears and sheer joy with A Date With Dwayne!
